The Youth teams have come on leaps and bounds in recent times, with the presence of future stars waving hurling sticks around portadown now a frequent site.
The future is looking bright with constantly improving standards of coaching and facilites within the club. Structures set up by a county wide inititave is giving more and more children within our small community the chance to play this excellent and exhilarating sport.
Recent underage outings include trips to the Hurling stronghold of Kilenny (to which many thanks must be paid to o'laughlain geals and Fergal Beattie for organising), Casement park to support the Armagh Senior Hurling team, Ballycastle to participate in the Ulster Feilé in which the boys performed extremely well and were commended for their impecable behavior and attitudes toward the game by Coach Michael B McGuigan and his Assisstant Coach Michael J McGuigan after thier unfortunate defeat in the Final.
